Your employment contract
There are various types of contracts!
Before you start work, you and the company will sign a written employment contract setting out all the terms and conditions of your employment relationship.
There are various types of contracts in the construction industry, but the most common ones for on-site work are:
Indefinite-term site contract
This is a contract exclusively for construction work. Once the work has been completed, the company will offer the worker the possibility of relocating elsewhere and, if necessary, will take care of the paperwork required to update the existing relationship with the worker.
Discontinuous fixed-term contract
This contract is intended for work that is carried out periodically but not throughout the whole year; you will be called in order of seniority in the company. When you are not working, you will be placed in a job pool exclusively for the construction sector.
The construction industry also has training contracts. The aim of this type of contract is to ensure that training courses are compatible with paid employment, to help people working in the sector to become more qualified, and to integrate young people.
