A benchmark labour agreement

Collective bargaining and the social dialogue round table that brings together employers’ associations and trade unions in the construction sector are an example of the determination of the social partners in the sector to reach solid agreements that guarantee stability and advancement for workers and companies.

The Collective Bargaining Agreement for the Construction Industry in the Province of Biscay currently provides for a working day of 1,700 hours per year in 2025, while the salary scale for 2025 sets the gross annual salary for an Ordinary Worker at 27,510.78 euros, which is 20% higher than the salary offered in other sectors. For 2025, the salary for graduate employees was set at 42,223.15 euros.

Construction Industry Pension Plan

The social partners have recently agreed to set up the First Construction Industry Pension Plan, the first of its kind in the sector.

As an employee in the construction industry, you are entitled to participate in this pension plan, to which companies will make financial contributions that will serve to supplement your pension in the future.
